He uses the outcome of revolutions that overcome the backward organisation of society, helping to produce the surplus and human centred control of nature to explore space, to then dump on those who struggled for it.<br /><br />Best quote of all is this 'The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emporers, so that in glory and triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.'<br /><br />What a dispicable slight of hand moving from the earth being relatively small to transfer that scale to minimise the achievements of humans struggling to control their relation to the natural world.
