Absolutely vile

Luke Hymas alerted me to this absolutely horrid video:

It just shows the completely different mindset between normal people (this does, potentially, include the religious), and those so over taken by their particular belief system.

On the one hand, she wants atheists to find Jesus, and, having prayed for God to send a sign, has used pareidolia to justify this event as God shaking the Earth.

Firstly, it shows a complete lack of awareness of what would actually constitutes evidence. Secondly, if this was evidence for a god, it would in no way make me worship him it.

What is pleasing to see is that, at lunchtime, the "likes" for the video were in the lead. Now it's had some 40k more views, and, thankfully, the responses are more leveled towards humanity.

tamtampamela, if you are reading, imagine this: Your neighborhood had an equally devastating disaster. You then see a video from someone of a different religion, praising their deity for shaking the Earth, in response to fasting and prayer. How would that make you feel?

I wholly recommend you check out Letter to a Christian Nation by Sam Harris, Breaking the Spell by Daniel Dennett and The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. These will at least enlighten you as you as to why we don't believe in your god, or any other.

In the meantime, please think about why you have had such a negative response to your video.
